FROM THE WORLD OF PIGMENT & PLACE
A letter from the studio
Sent once a month. Kept forever.
A collector's print. A museum dispatch. A personal letter.
Something small gathered along the way.
In the weeks before I left New Jersey, packing slowly, saying goodbyes that never feel quite finished, I kept thinking about distance. Not the miles themselves, but what happens to closeness when you stop sharing the same ordinary days. I kept thinking about letters. About postcards. About the particular feeling of finding something in your letterbox that someone put there thinking of you, from somewhere specific, at a specific moment.
I moved across an ocean. And I brought that idea with me.
This is not a newsletter. It is a piece of mail worth keeping.
What arrives each month
A limited edition collector's print of an original work
A personal letter written from wherever I am
A museum or place dispatch
Something small gathered along the way
A curated playlist to read by
A real postmark
Each edition is numbered and dated. The print is made for that month alone, not a reproduction, not a print run of hundreds. Made for this month, for this envelope, for you.
WAYS TO CORRESPOND
Two Ways In
The Dispatch is writing only. One letter, one place, one longer essay, always different from what's inside the Correspondence. For those who come for the words.
The Studio Correspondence is the full envelope. A limited edition print, a personal letter, a museum dispatch, something small gathered along the way. Art and writing together, once a month.
Some people subscribe to both.

THE ARCHIVE NO 0
Where it began. The soft launch edition of The Studio Correspondence, mailed to a small circle before the correspondence opened to the world.
Inside the envelope: a limited edition cyanotype print made from botanicals gathered in Richmond Park, a personal letter, a museum dispatch on Anna Atkins, the woman who printed with sunlight, an illustrated cyanotype how-to card, and a curated playlist card.
Each element was made for this edition alone. The print is not a reproduction. The postmark is real.
The Beginning of the Correspondence
The world is vast and I am glad this found you.
